Rib Shop supply and professionally fit quality Hypalon Rib tubes at our workshop, located at the mouth of the River Hamble in Hampshire.
Thanks to our extensive space and specialist facilities we have at our purpose built workshops, we are able to offer a fast, efficient, hassle-free Rib re-tubing service. Boats can be delivered to us by road or water, making the process as convenient as possible. We work with most UK insurers, and where tube replacement is required as part of an insurance claim, we manage the process on your behalf - liaising directly with insurers and surveyors from start to finish - so yuor boat is returned to service with minimum disruption.

Our Standard Tube Guarantee Our Rib tubes are covered by the following guarantees: - 5 Year Hypalon fabric guarantee with Orca Pennel. - 3 Year back to base Rib tube construction guarantee: Defects arising from incorrect Rib tube construction. - 3 Year back to base Rib tube fitting guarantee: Defects arising from incorrect Rib tube fitting.
Tube Construction All Rib tubes are built to order and custom-made in house to meet each owner's exact requirements. We use internationally recognised ORCA Hypalon-coated fabric in the construction of all our Rib collars. ORCA fabric offers exceptional protection against UV exposure and saltwater damage, along with outstanding mechanical strength and abrasion resistance. Our standard Rib tubes are constrcuted using Orca Pennel 1300gsm material. For more demanding or commercial applications, 1500gsm is also available on request. Tube Accessories A wide range of accessories can be fitted to new tubes or retrofitted to existing Rib tubes to enhance aesthetics, usability and durability. These include handles, wear patches, non-slip pads, additional protection areas, lifelines, securing points, bow cleats and fairleads, fendering, pressure relief valves and much more.
Lead Time Rib Shop's Rib retube service typically takes around 3 weeks from the time the craft arrives with us. Our on-site facilities allow us to lift boats directly from the water using either the owners' trailer or a supplied trailer. This provides customers along the South Coast and on the Isle of Wight the added convenience of dropping off and collecting their boat by water. We also offer a collection service from the docks for residents of Guernsey, Jersey and Alderney who require Rib repair work or new tube installations, ensuring a smooth and straightforward process wherever you are based.
